Blogmas Day 3 – The Best Christmas Films

Hello everyone and welcome to another day of blogmas!

When it comes to the festive season I think your all agree that there’s nothing better to get you into a festive mood then a good Christmas film. I’ve included a few of my favourites and all round favourites for you all to check out (if you haven’t already!).

Santa Claus the movie – now I’m not talking about the newer one. I’m talking about the 80’s classic. It has Santa, it has elves, it is just amazing. This was one film that I watched  when I was a small child and I think that’s the reason of the appeal, it reminds me of my childhood and of course my kids now watch it and adore it as I did.

Muppets Christmas Carol – I will never ever get bored of this film at Christmas. I’ve always loved the story of A Christmas carol, add in the muppets and a catchy soundtrack and you’ve got a real festive gem on your hands.

Nativity – This one I think is a recent like of mine, more so since I became a mum. If you are a mum with kids in primary school then your love this. First off it’s a British film (love love love British films) with a cast of talented children and a few much loved British actors!  It’s a feel good film and it’ll get you hyped about your child’s own nativity play!

The Holiday – If you want to feel warm, fuzzy and festive all in one then this is for you. I absolutely adore this film. A heart warming Rom Com which will have you crying and laughing the whole way through.

Love Actually – Another British film, but this one is cram packed full of the cream of the crop of British film and tv talent. What makes this film so compelling and enjoyable is the different stories behind each unique love situation and let’s face it, you can’t beat seeing Hugh Grant dancing as the prime minister!

The Snowman – No Christmas would be complete without watching the snowman. It just feels like Christmas when you watch it. Purely animated, the snowman needs no words only music to enchant you into a world of friendship and heartache.

Notable mentions;

Elf

Polar Express

Home Alone

Jack Frost

The Santa Clause

Have I missed any of your favourites?! Let me know in the comments your favourites to watch at Christmas!

Claire xoxo

    The Holiday is one of my all time favourite Christmas movies, although I also really like Jack Frost. Elf seems to be the one I can’t stand watching. You have some good classics on your list x
