Kids Yoga – A Review*

Yoga. I’ve been doing Yoga on and off for a number of years now from Yoga classes at the Gym to doing my own Yoga sessions at home,  for me it’s a way of relaxing, staying fit and in a lot of ways its a lot of fun!

Recently I was sent a book to review, the book was Kids Yoga*, I didn’t even realise Kids could do Yoga so I was really intrigued to see how the kids would get on with doing all the different poses!

The first thing my kids were drawn to in the book was the illustrations. The images to describe the different poses were fun, colourful and descriptive. Because of this the kids knew exactly how to do each pose, not forgetting the fun they had at pretending to be the animal or icon that represented each pose

Here is an extract from the press release

Kids Yoga is a beautifully illustrated children’s guide to yoga, which can be enjoyed by even the youngest of beginners.
Starting with simple activities, it takes your child through a simple exercise routine. It is perfect for keeping growing bodies healthy and fit, and young minds engaged and focused.
The poses included are based on the ancient art and practice of yoga, which seeks to bring mind, body and breath into harmonious alignment.
Children can enjoy poses influenced by nature and animals, and have lots of fun experimenting! Kids yoga will leave them calm, grounded and ready for anything play, study, or just relaxing.

Kids Yoga has a variety of poses in especially designed for children and you may recognise a few of the names if you already do yoga yourself!

  • Mountain
  • Dog
  • Sun Salute
  • Warrior
  • Half Moon
  • Tree

and many more!

Overall my kids thoroughly enjoyed this book and it left them feeling relaxed and chilled out which is always a plus for me, may I also add that this book is a great way to calm your children down too. I speak for myself hen I say that sometimes my kids can get a little hyper and them just doing a few poses from this book can make the world of difference!

Kids Yoga retails at £9.99

Let me know if you do Yoga and if you would introduce your children to it too!

*I was sent this book free of charge in exchange for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own and are 100% honest

I need this book to do with my girls, we would have so much fun doing this. They join in with me during workouts so they would enjoy this with me also. Great post!
